Behavior Analysis Services comprise two individual services: Behavior Analysis and Behavior Assistant services. These services are designed to assist individuals receiving care in learning new or enhancing existing functionally equivalent replacement skills for identified challenging behaviors. Additionally, they help individuals learn other behaviors directly related to existing challenging behaviors.
The goal of Behavior Analysis services is not only to help the individual but also to educate those around them on how to manage these behaviors effectively across different settings. This involves sending a board-certified behavioral analyst or board-certified behavior assistant analyst to the client’s home.
During the initial visit, the analyst conducts an assessment, gathering data from observations, questionnaires filled out by caregivers, family members, and the client. Based on these findings, the analyst develops a behavior analysis support plan. This plan includes recommendations for services, a treatment plan, and strategies for managing behaviors to either limit, modify, or extinguish them.
