A registered nurse (RN) can make executive calls about taking action in an emergency. At all other times, they work under the plan of care that a primary physician has signed off on. An RN can administer IVs, injections, and medications through any necessary medium without supervision. They can also change bandages, perform wound care, and monitor & stabilize vitals, among other tasks.
The care we provide at Essential Wellness is one of the most comprehensive programs in Miami & South Florida. We have some of the best-trained home health RNs in the state.
An LPN is a Licensed Practical Nurse. LPNs conduct very similar jobs to those of RNs. They have the same skill sets, but they are monitored by RNs.
